A Mass of Christian Burial for Brock Alan Cecutti, 29, of Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 30, 2023, with Fr. Mike Gentry as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Brock died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was born in Newark, Ohio on August 15, 1994, to Alan and Joyce Cecutti of Newark.

He was a graduate of St. Francis Elementary School and Newark Catholic High School, Class of 2013, and participated on the football, basketball, track and wrestling teams. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Ohio University and was currently working as the Revenue Optimization Liaison for the Medical University of South Carolina.

Brock, a lifetime parishioner and altar server at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, had a big heart and was genuinely kind and respectful to others. His sense of humor kept everyone laughing and anticipating his next prank. To say he was an avid reader is an underestimate, a passion he discovered while reading the Harry Potter books in elementary school. He enjoyed lifting weights, gaming, making homemade pizza, writing, and keeping up with the latest technology and gadgets. Above all, Brock was devoted to his family and was the best uncle to his nieces and nephew.  He was happiest just spending time with those he loved.

He will be greatly missed by his parents, Alan and Joyce Cecutti; sisters, Amanda (Stephen) Card and Megan (Justin) Barry; beloved nieces and nephew, Kendal, Emerie, Maysen, Hudson, and Sawyer; aunts and uncles, Pamela (Keith) Morris, Randal Miller, Cynthia (Carl) Kozak, Lydia (Skip) Miller Blessard, Nancy (Patrick) Carlisle, and Sandra (James) Corey; and many cousins and lifelong friends.

Brock was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, George J. and Norma Jean (Francis) Miller; paternal grandparents, Harry "Joe" and Juanita (Pace) Cecutti; and uncles, George E. Miller and Stephen E. Cecutti.

Calling will be held at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Friday, September 29, 2023, with a Vigil held at 6:30 P.M.
