A Funeral Mass for Brad Charles Petticrew, 34, of Granville, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2018, with Msgr. Paul Enke as celebrant.

Brad was called to be with our Lord after passing away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 6 ^th .

Brad was an avid outdoorsman, with an undying love of hunting just about anything, although deer and ducks were his main targets! Brad appreciated mother nature and loved spending time at the farm in Springfield, cutting wood, shooting skeet, and just being with family & friends out in the elements. He loved driving the boat, pulling skiers and tubers and giving them a ride of a lifetime, all the while listening to some of the strangest rock n roll you've ever (or never) heard of!

His talents were endless; he could fix your car or tractor-trailer, he could wire and roof your house, and then to top it off, he could do your taxes!   Brad would absolutely do anything to help a friend and was a key provider of care to his mother, Denise. Often times he would stay with her overnight in the hospital rooms, just to make sure she felt comfortable.

Brad's quick wit was second to none and he possessed a heart of gold. He had the uncanny ability to look at a situation, analyze it, and present solutions that no one had thought of. He'd do all this with class, and humility. He was very even-keeled, which helped in excel in pressure situations.

Brad was graduate of Newark Catholic High School and an All Ohio first teamer in baseball, leading the Green Wave to the state championship his senior year. It's been said, that some of his home runs have still not landed!

He attended The Ohio State University (but was born a Michigan man and will always be a Michigan man!) and Columbus State, with his studies focusing on business and he applied these learnings in his positions with major logistics companies in the Central Ohio area.

Brad's legacy of service, humility, love of life & family will be carried on by his father Jon; sister Dawn; nephews Dylan and Caleb; brother Joe; niece Maddy; his grandparents; Kathy; and a huge herd of aunts, uncles and friends.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise Petticrew and paternal grandmother, Karen Petticrew.

The Petticrew clan would like to thank all of those who befriended and prayed for Brad. We are a family of faith and know that while his being called away hurts now, we will see him again….and get to once again enjoy his big bear hugs!

Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-8 P.M, Friday, November 9, 2018; and for one hour at the church prior to the Mass on Saturday.
