A Funeral Mass for Betty Louise Witalec, 76, of Heath, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 with Rev. JCP Sullivan Parish Priest as celebrant. Private inurnment will follow in Dayton Memorial Park later that day.
Betty, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at her home on Friday, December 25, 2015. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 6, 1939 to the late Frederick and Rosemary (Moore) Walker.
Betty received her BA in Education from the University of Dayton in 1966 and found great enjoyment in teaching. She was a teacher at Jacksontown Elementary School and substituted at area schools for many years. She also taught religious education for over 20 years at several of the Catholic Churches.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph A Witalec; her children, Maurine (Chuck) Maneely, Michele (Scott) Henry, Joseph M. (Allison) Witalec, and Daniel J. (Kerri) Witalec; grandchildren, Katie, Brittany, Major, Joshua, Matthew, Ella and Claire; sister, Mary Helen (Bruce) Conley; niece, Holly Conley; nephew, Todd Conley; and great nieces and nephews, Derrick, Brooke, Molly, Owen, Audrey and Macy.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Ann Walker.
