Funeral services for Betty Lou Rhoads, 81, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 5, 2015 with Chaplain Jeff Smith as celebrant. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 10-11 Monday, prior to the funeral service.

Betty died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Thursday, October 1, 2015. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 10, 1933 to the late Harry and Blanche (Gas) Keefer.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Eugene Rhoads; her children, Sandie Faris, Pattie (David) Wenger, Russ Jr. (Janet) Rhoads, and Jeff Rhoads; 7 grandchildren, Allison, Erin, Casey, Tessa, Katie, Ryan, and Tara; 3 great grandchildren, Rylen, Christeena and Maddie; 1 great-great-grandchild, Kamdyn; and her brother, John Spagnol.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her stepfather, Felix Spagnol; her granddaughter, Jennifer Fickell; and her 4 brothers, Dick, Bob, Tony and Floyd.
