Bernard "Butch" Selby, 72, of St. Louisville, passed away at Genesis Hospital, on Monday, July 28, 2025. He was born in Newark, Ohio on September 10, 1952, to the late Richard "Art" and Gizella (Kovreg) Selby.

Butch was a graduate of Newark High School and served with the United States Army as military police. He worked as a mason for many years and was owner and operator of Valley View Masonry. He was also a member of the Bricklayers Union.

He is survived by his grandson, Dominic Selby (Makayla Kantor); grandchildren, Wrenn and Sunny Selby; siblings, David (Joan) Selby, Terry (Joanna) Selby, Donald Selby, Kathleen Selby, and Barbara Walker; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his son, Eric D. Selby; siblings, Richard Selby Jr., Michael Selby, Robert Selby, and Mark Selby; nephews, David Selby and Dylan Patrick; and brother-in-law Thomas Walker.

A celebration of life will be hosted by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
