A Funeral Mass for Barbara Louise Dolan, 86, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 8, 2016 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Barbara, a 1947 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School, died at the SharonBrooke Senior Living Center on Monday, July 4, 2016. She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 12, 1929 to the late Charles and Catherine Irene (Winters) Hinger.

Barbara was a lifelong parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she volunteered in many capacities. Over the years Barbara worked at Ohio Power, Riley's Bakery, and the License Bureau. She was a member of the PIME Guild and several area card clubs.

She is survived by her children, Brigid (Dr. Dan) Bohl of Edenton, NC, Michael (Shirley) Dolan of Glenford, Sheila Dolan of Newark, and Dr. Scott Dolan (Jeff Marion) of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Rita Dolan of Newark; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie, Erica, Eryn, Timothy, Kevin, Ryan, Brian, and Lindsey; 7 great-grandchildren, Montanna Nicole, Delaney Mckenna, Elizabeth Jane, Olivia Grace, Lilly, Eve, Grace, and Sierra; 1 expectant great-grandchild to be named Amelia; her sister, Mary Jeanette Paluzcak; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Dolan Jr.; her two sons, Patrick Kevin and Terrence Francis; and her daughter Theresa.

Friends and family may call from 3-6 P.M., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 5:30 P.M.
