Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Anna Mary "Ann" Henry, 102, of Newark, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Ann died at the Flint Ridge Care Center on Saturday, February 12, 2022.  She was born in Lakeside, Ohio on July 14, 1919, to the late George and Barbara (Garian) Bacak.

Ann was a parishioner of St. Leonard Catholic Church where she also sang in their funeral choir.  She was an employee of Standard Products, and prior to this, worked in the bakery at Mrs. Saylor's Inn and Mrs. Richard's Pie Shop, both of Lakeside, Ohio.

An avid walker, Ann could often be seen taking daily walks around her condominium neighborhood where she was also a member of the Condo Board.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Russell) Scott; grandchildren, Nathan (Anne) Scott and Janna (Christopher) Purvis; great-grandchildren, Avery, Jacob, and Ryker Purvis.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Larry" Henry in 2003; and eleven brothers and sisters.

The family requests memorials in Ann's name be made to St. Leonard Catholic Church, 57 Dorsey Mill Road, Heath, Ohio 43056.
