Funeral services for Ann Elizabeth Miltimore, 52, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 10, 2015 with Pastor Bob Pelfrey as celebrant. Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery.

Ann died at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 19, 1963, to Carole (McLaughlin) Kerner of Newark, and the late Peter Scott.

She was a 1982 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and earned a degree in Equine Sciences from Meredith Manor Equine College. Her lifetime passion for horses turned into a career as she became a farrier working in many of the surrounding counties. The undeniable sound of her voice and contagious laugh were like that of no other. Combined with her skill and dedication to her profession, it is no surprise that she quickly gained the trust of many. Her wit and honest nature were qualities that she carried throughout her life. She was a friend to many, always there and always willing to help.

She was a member of the United States Dressage Federation receiving a bronze medal in 2011. She was also a member of the Ohio Dressage Society, Mid-Ohio Dressage Association, Licking County Horse & Pony Council, and was actively involved with the Licking County 4-H Programs.

In addition to her mother, Ann is survived by her husband, Jeffry Miltimore; son, Levi; daughter, Jessica and her fiancé Andy Kuhnash; and her mother-in-law, Patricia Miltimore. Ann is also survived by her many beloved animals which include her dogs, Mange, Topper, Ellie, Eeyore, Tink, Bowie, and Delilah; and horses, Fletch, Rial, Shawnee, Manny, Daisy, Mattie, and Jenny.

Ann was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dalton and Elizabeth McLaughlin; and paternal grandparents, Franklin and Patricia Scott.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4-8 P.M., Wednesday, December 9, 2015.

In keeping with the spirit of Ann's practical nature, it is requested that memorials, rather than sending flowers, be made to the Mid Ohio Dressage Association, 6008 Brigids Close Dr. Dublin Ohio 43017.
