Funeral services for Andrew Michael Hull, 26, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 12, 2015 with Joe McMullens as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Andy died at his home in Newark on Thursday, June 4, 2015. He was born in Newark on November 16, 1988 to Catherine Mary (Brown Hull) (Tim) Austin of Thornville and the late Michael James Hull.
Andy graduated from Lakewood High School, where he met the first of his many life-long friends who shared his love of music. He was a rare, natural talent who used his words and verse to entertain, encourage and inspire. He loved people, all kinds of people, and his favorite place to be was on the mic in front of a crowd. His spirit and enthusiasm will be sorely missed by his many friends in the Lakewood/Hebron community, especially his Clay's Café family and the Sunset Inn.
In addition to his mother, Andy is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Hull (Dave Allen-Williams) of Perth, Australia; his maternal grandparents, C. Herbert and Elizabeth Koehler, and Mel and Joanne Brown, all of Newark; his paternal grandmother, Carmen Hull of Newark; his aunts and uncles, Lisa (Dick) Gebhart, Sally (John) Balser, Jon (Connie) Hull, Ann (Bob) Wehrle, Mary Hull, Elizabeth Brown, Larry Brown, Herb (Nicole) Koehler, and Jane (Mark) Hatfield; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Andy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rodger Hull.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4-8 P.M., Thursday, June 11, 2015.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Lakewood High School Band Program.
