Andrea G. Vogelmeier, 76, of Frazeysburg, passed away at her home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born in Newark, Ohio on July 17, 1946, to the late Ralph J. Barnes and Bette C. (Wolfe) Barnes-Schulz.

A 1964 graduate of Newark High School, Andrea attended The Ohio State University and received her real estate license from Hondros College. She worked as a realtor with Century 21 Frank Frye Real Estate, and was co-owner and operator of Rocky Fork Grocery and Pizza, alongside her husband, Dan.

Andrea liked to entertain, was active with several card clubs, and enjoyed reading, bowling, ceramics, and gardening. Over the years, Andrea spent many hours tackling home renovations with her husband. She had a love for Rottweilers and an addiction to Goumas Candy.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years, Dan, and their blended children, Chris (Jennifer) Vogelmeier, Heather (Brian) Beaver, Brent (Melinda) Smith, Shanda (Carey) Goldsberry, Craig (Terri) Vogelmeier, and Mark Vogelmeier; 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dawn (James) Worley and Jill Stone; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her birth parents, Andrea was preceded in death by her step-father, Arthur Schulz; and young brother, Gary Barnes.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Andrea will be held in July with her family and friends.
