Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial for Agnes "Aggie" Cecilia O'Reilly, 85, of Newark, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 1, 2016 with Msgr. Paul Enke officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Aggie, a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, died at her home on Monday, June 27, 2016. She was born in Newark, Ohio on January 22, 1931 to the late Adolph and Mary (Kulp) Ehlermann.

Aggie, a 1949 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School, worked as an Avon Representative in the Licking County area for over 48 years and made many lifelong friends. She was a member of the United Commercial Travelers and a former member and past president of the Vali Hi Bowling League.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Linda O'Reilly of Heath; her daughters and son-in-law, Jan and Don Slee, and Patti and Tom Booher, all of Newark, her seven grandchildren and their spouses, Nathan O'Reilly, Timothy (Tara) O'Reilly, Kristen (Brian) Beyke, Kat (Jason) Barber, Carson (Jen Bumpus) Slee, Tom Booher, and Courtney (Kevin) Norman; her 12 great-grandchildren, Leighton, Graham, Lillia, Oliver, Aria, J.T., David, Solymar, Elle, Ashton, Malory, and Lylah; her sisters-in-law, Rosetta, Donna, and Dorothy Ehlermann; and many, many, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Aggie was preceded in death by her husband, James J. O'Reilly; her siblings, Gustave, Frederick, Paul, and Joseph Ehlermann, Rose (Otis) Ogle, Mary (Don) Lusk, Helen (Fred) Smith, and Teresa (Delbert) Hickman.

Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3:30 P.M..
